WIMA National Rally 2010 Market Harborough
Friends old and new joined to celebrate WIMA's 60th anniversary in Market Harborough over the late May Bank Holiday weekend.
A damp Saturday may have meant the rugby club heating having to be switched on to dry out soaked bike gear but spirits rose as the silly games began and rally goers tried out activities such as bowling with frozen chickens and tackling the Crystal Maze style 'grid room' game.
Four real ales and a hot dinner served up in the club bar helped get everyone in the mood for the Firedance Roadshow and live band 4More.
Rally goers danced until the small hours.
Over the day, people also took part in Malcolm the DJ's driving test challenge -
Sunday saw rally goers heading for Rutland Water, where they could leave their gear in a WIMA gazebo to explore or go on boat trips.
Nearby Foxton Locks was another popular destination along gorgeous biking roads.
Finally, Sunday evening saw the raffle, prize giving and more dancing to end a cracking weekend in good company.

October Fest in Suffolk.
The Copdock Motorcycle show takes place in Trinity Park Ipswich on October 3rd (it's a small friendly show, similar in size to the Garden of England show).
WIMA members are invited to a weekend event that is organised from the evening of Friday 1st October, with a view to taking in the show on the Sunday. If anyone's interested we could also visit Sutton Hoo on the Saturday, or simply go for a walk to a pub, or whatever.
(see your WIMA members newsletter for contact and further details )
Both take place at Lancaster University, close to the beautiful Lake District, making for a full week of fun!
EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 -
7 WIMA GB members battled through wind and rain to attend the WIMA European Rally held in Markello, Netherlands in August.
The campsite, in a field behind a pub on the outskirts of the rural village, was well equipped with clean toilets and hot showers, plenty of alcohol and good food. There were between 250 and 300 WIMA members form across Europe and Japan.
The local villagers and mayor were most welcoming and a very enjoyable time was had by all.
Overall, the weather during the week was ok and when the sun did shine, it was very hot indeed.
