Spotlight on.....

BRUM

Brum branch, which covers the West Midlands , is a rapidly expanding
group of lively women, from all sorts of backgrounds, riding all sorts
of bikes which welcomes new members.

Our branch organised the WIMA GB National Rally at Lichfield in
2008,
which we all enjoyed tremendously. Sincethen there has been
an upsurge of interest amongst local femaleriders making for well
attended monthly meetings and ride outs.

Brum members have ridden to the 2007 WIMA International Rally
in East Germany, a seaside weekend in WestWales (through the storm
at Easter!), from Land’s End to John O’Groats, around the Isle of Man,
Ireland, France, Holland and Scotland. Many of us are regular
attendees at national WIMA events especially the annual rallies. We
are currently planning our invasion of the MCN weekend at Butlins
in Skegness

Partners of members are welcome both at our
monthly evening meetings and on runs.

Brum members socialise together at other
times too and have had many riotous Christmas
parties and an “Oscars Night”, been to a talk by
Nick Sanders at our local Hein Gericke shop,
seen the “Crusty Demons” show, attended the
NEC bike shows, been on
track days and slow
riding days, become active in local IAM
branches, done some offroading, club racing
and marshalling as well as taking part in an
advertising campaign for the Post Office.

Our hobbies outside of biking include welding,
sailing, amateur dramatics, swimming, Ceroc

managed to produce a baby recently!
